Hachem Triples

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Joe Hachem moved all in for 12,000 and was called by Andrey Zaichenko and Vladimir Shchmelev from the button and big blind respectively.

The two Russians checked down the {5-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} board with Hachem announcing, "ship it!" as he tabled his {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for the wheel, and the scoop once both Russians folded.

Hachem Quartered

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Matthew Lansdon limped in, and once the action passed to Joe Hachem in the big blind, he raised the pot. Lansdon re-raised pot and Hachem called all in for his 28,000.

Hachem: {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Lansdon: {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

The board was spread {7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to see Lansdon flop a straight to take the high while both Hachem and he would chop the low.

Hacker Doubles Through Zaichenko

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

We caught up to Andrey Zaichenko and Brian Hacker involved in an already big pot on a flop of {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Hacker had announced a pot, which at the time was 81,000 chips. Zaichenko thought about it for a bit, but eventually called.

The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and Hacker announced all in, which Zaichenko called quickly, but not happily, and the two men turned up their hands.

Zaichenko: {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Hacker: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

Hacker had flopped the nut low, with a draw to the nut flush. He then turned a set of kings and had Zaichenko in a lot of trouble with just a low draw and no way to win the high except a six for the straight.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} though and that wasn't enough for Zaichenko to catch up. He was forced to ship over the chips to Hacker who has picked up close to 300,000 here towards the end of the night.

Final Level

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

We are now into the final level of the night, and although the plan is to reach a final table, it is unlikely with 22 players remaining ...

... but anything is possible!

Level: 18

Blinds: 3,000/6,000

Ante:

Filippi Falls, Zaichenko Leading

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Amnon Filippi opened for pot to 17,500 only to have Andrey Zaichenko move all in. Filippi made the call for roughly an additional 30,000 and the cards were tabled.

Filippi: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Zaichenko: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Spades}

The board was spread {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to see Zaichenko win the pot with his superior kicker while Filippi was headed to the rail in 24th place.

Filippi Quartered By Hacker

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

We caught Filippi in a hand with Brian Hacker on a board of {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Hacker made a bet of 17,000 and Filippi just called.

The river card was the {A-Spades} and Hacker announced "pot." Instantly Filippi called and the two tabled their hands.

Hacker was holding {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades} for trip aces and the nut low while Filippi held {2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for the nut low as well with a losing pair of eights for the high.

"How the f*** does he have that hand?" Filippi muttered to himself after the hand while cutting out the chips to give Hacker half his stack.

Sanders Chipping Up

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

John Cernuto limped the cutoff and both Michael Sanders and Mel Judah came along from the blinds to see a {5-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop spread by the dealer.

Sanders led out for 9,000 to force a fold from Judah and a call from Cernuto as the {9-Clubs} fell on the turn. Sanders tossed in 20,000 and after a little deliberation, Cernuto tossed his cards to the muck.
