Just Call Him Mr. Generic

Level 10 : 0/0, 400 ante

The ante-only format of this event has led to some interesting strategic shifts, with the prevalence of multiway pots being among the most noticeable.

We caught one such hand involving seven players, including Allen Cunningham, Bryan Micon, and Danny Johnson, as they saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

After a few checks to him, Cunningham made a 1,800 feller bet, and next to act Johnson raised it to 4,200. The action folded around to an unknown player who moved all in over the top for about 14,000 more. Cunningham got out of the way, but Johnson snap-called and tabled the {2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} with a flourish.

"Pretty good, huh?," he said across the table, as his shell-shocked opponent flipped up the {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

The turn ({8-Spades}) and river ({k-Spades}) kept Johnson out in front with his flopped full house, and he now holds an above average stack as Day 1 nears its conclusion.

As he stacked his newly earned chips, Johnson told us his name, but added "I'm just Mr. Generic," as he currently sits between two stars of the game in Cunningham and Micon.
