Williams Doubles Through Cheong

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 300 ante

We came upon David Williams all in from the small blind for his last 13,600 and was up against Joseph Cheong in the big blind. Cheong called and Williams drew one card. Cheong stood pat and tabled his hand.

Cheong showed {J-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} for a pat jack-seven. Williams rolled over {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} and began to sweat his final card.

"I'm fifty-fifty," said Williams. He squeezed it out a bit more.

Once Williams learned his card, he slapped it face up on the table to reveal that it was the {8-Spades}, making him an eight-low and allowing him to double up. He now sits around 27,500 in chips.
