Graves Busts Ausmus

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Dustin Graves raised it up to 6,500 in early position, and Jeremy Ausmus called on the button. The big blind also came along, and the flop came {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. It was checked to Graves, who fired out 8,500. Ausmus asked how much it was, then started tanking. After about 30 seconds, the big blind folded out of turn, and was forced to take his cards back. This may have influenced Ausmus's decision making, as after tanking for about two minutes, he moved all in for 72,000. It got back to Graves, and he quickly called.

Ausmus: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Graves: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Ausmus's middle pair was in rough shape against the pocket rockets of Graves, and the board would bring him no help, coming {j-Spades} and {5-Hearts}. After collecting that pot, Graves has jumped his stack up to 165,000.
