Vladimir Kochelaevskiy Eliminated in 12th Place ($18,407)

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Vladimir Kochelaevskiy - 12th place
Vladimir Kochelaevskiy - 12th place

Mike Watson opened the cutoff to 15,000 only to have Kochelaevskiy move all in for 53,000 from the button. The action passed back to Watson who made the call as the cards were placed on their backs.

Watson: {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Kochelaevskiy: {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

With Kochelaevskiy in the lead, the {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} board would see Watson connect on the river to end the Russian's run in 12th place for a $18,407 payday as Watson moves to 525,000 in chips.

Behbehani Soars; Kochelaevskiy Crippled

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

A series of preflop raises resulted in a 110,000 chip bet from the small blind from Vladimir Kochelaevskiy and a reraise all in from Salman Behbehani.

Kochelaevskiy tanked on his decision for a few minutes before finally throwing in the chips for the call.

Behbehani: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Kochelaevskiy: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Kochelaevskiy was way behind but still live if he could catch another ten for a set. The flop came down {9-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} opening up the possibility for a runner straight for Kochelaevskiy. The turn was the {8-Hearts} materializing some of those outs, but the {A-Hearts} was not what Kochelaevskiy needed. Behbehani scooped up the huge pot and Kochelaevskiy was left with very few chips.

Vandersmissen Tank Calls With Jacks

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After seeing a flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} Vladimir Kochelaevskiy bet 17,000 into Kevin Vandersmissen who was on the button. Vandersmissen called. The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {2-Spades} on the river.

On the river Kochelaevskiy put out a bet of 33,000 and Vandersmissen went into the tank. He thought for nearly three minutes before finally putting out the chips to make the call. Kochelaevskiy showed {K-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights, but Vandersmissen was holding {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} for a better pair of jacks. Those jacks were good enough to scoop Vandersmissen the pot.

Ahi Tuna Spicing Up Barbero's Play

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jan Kropacek opened to 12,000 from the button, and as Nacho Barbero was delivered his lunch for the day - All American Dave's Mango Jalapeno Ahi Tuna - he three-bet the small blind to 28,000.

Kropacek would release and Barbero would start to chomp down on his lunch as "Redbull" Robbie Thompson sneaked over and had a look.

On the next hand Kropacek would open to 12,000 again - this time from the cutoff - and again Barbero would three-bet as he made it 29,000 from the button.

Kropacek folded and Thompson stated, "must be the tuna!"

"Giving me energy!" added Barbero before continuing, "or cards!"

Schwartz Storming Up Leaderboard

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Catching the action on the turn with the board reading {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades} we found Sumanth Reddy betting out 84,000 into roughly 150,000 following a Jake Schwartz check.

Schwartz responded by check-raising to 187,000, and after nearly a minute of deliberation, Reddy made the call.

The dealer rolled off the {2-Spades} on the river and Schwartz moved all in for just a little over 260,000 to force a fold from Reddy as he slipped to 200,000 while Schwartz climbed to roughly 780,000 in chips.

Wenker Straights Up Against Barbero

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Tobias Wenker opened the action preflop with a raise to 12,000. Only Nacho Barbero called from the big blind.

The flop fell {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and both players checked to see a {3-Spades} on the turn. On that turn Barbero led for 17,000 and he was called by Wenker.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} putting four to a straight on the board. Barbero checked to Wenker who made a bet of 38,000. After just a few seconds Barbero announced a call, but frustratedly mucked his cards when Wenker showed {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for a rivered straight.

Kochelaevskiy Arrives and Calls with Ace-High

Level 1 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After finally taking his seat, Vladimir Kochelaevskiy opened with a raise to 13,000 and Salman Behbehani defended his big blind to see a {5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop fall.

Kochelaevskiy continued for 16,000 with Behbehani making the call before both players checked the {3-Hearts} on the turn. When the {7-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Behbehani bet out 25,000.

Taking nearly a minute to deliberate, Kochelaevskiy would eventually make the call and table his {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to best Behbehani's {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.
