Simon Charette Eliminated in 18th Place ($9,984)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Simon Charette
Simon Charette

Yueqi Zhu opened to 16,000 from late position, before Simon Charette moved all in for his last 121,000 from the button. Zhu made the call, and both sets of cards were turned over.

Zhu: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Charette: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Charette would get unlucky, as the board ran out {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, to see Zhu pair his ace, and win the hand.

What the Deuce!

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The hand started with Jason Duval opening to 17,000 from the cut-off, before Sergey Rybachenko moved all in for his remaining 111,000 in chips. Sam Greenwood joined the party, moving all in for more, forcing Duval out of the hand.

Greenwood: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Rybachenko: {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}

It wasn’t looking good for Rybachenko who was at risk, until the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}, to see him pair his kicker and take the lead. He dodged the {5-Hearts} and {9-Diamonds} on the turn and river to bolt up to 252,000, as Greenwood was left with just 43,000 in chips.

Tilly Doubles Through Charette

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Yueqi Zhu opened the button to 16,000 and Jennifer Tilly shoved from the small blind for 66,000. Simon Charette in the big blind announced that he was all in as well and Zhu folded. Tilly turned over {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Charette tabled {A-Spades}{J-Spades}. A king high flop would change things though and Charette wouldn't find help on the turn or river: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{K-Clubs} | {4-Clubs} | {8-Diamonds}.

Cody Ships

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Marc Macdonnell opened to 16,000 from under the gun, before Jake Cody raised to 38,000 from the seat to his left. It folded around to Aaron Dolgin in the small bind, who opted to make the call, as Macdonnell laid down his hand.

“Check dark to you,” said Dolgin, before the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Cody then quickly moved all in, covering his opponent, who took one quick glance over at the board, before mucking his hand.

Two Fall, 18 Remain

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The action started with Noah Vaillancourt opening to 16,000 from middle position. Mikk Matiiesen then moved all in for 107,000 from the small blind, before Michael Gathy moved all in over the top from the big blind. Vaillancourt folded his hand, before the other two players tabled their cards.

Matiiesen: {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Gathy: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, giving Gathy a full house on the flop, as he faded an ace to move up to just under 350,000 in chips.

As all this was happening, Joe Ford was all in and at risk on the neighbouring table, and was unable to improve, as he was also eliminated from the tournament.

Five Three Suited

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Everybody folded to Marc Macdonnel in the small blind who took a good look at Joe Atllia's stack in the big blind. Than he shoved and Atllia only needed a mili second to make the call. Atllia had {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} and was up against {5-Spades}{3-Spades}. The flop ({2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}), turn ({2-Spades}) and river ({J-Diamonds}) didn't make things exciting and Atllia doubled.
