Pauli Chops Wheatley Down to Short Stack

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Sebastian Pauli and Jim Wheatley each had two babies on fourth, and Pauli three-bet with {2-}{4-} after Wheatley raised him with {4-}{5-}. Pauli then caught bad and was forced to slow down with calls on fifth and sixth.

Wheatley: {4-}{5-}{9-}{7-}
Pauli: {2-}{4-}{k-}{j-}

Wheatley checked seventh, and Pauli bet. Wheatley shook his head and called, looking pained.

"I got there," Pauli said. "Six." He turned over {a-}{3-}{6-} to take the pot.

Bach: {X-}{X-}{X-}/{7-}{4-}{a-}{4-}
Campanello: {8-}{5-}/{9-}{2-}{a-}{q-}/{X-}

David Bach completed with a {7-} showing. Campanello called with his {9-} after bringing in.

On fourth street Bach bet and Campanello called. Fifth street came and Bach bet again, Campanello called.

Campanello picked up the lead on sixth street and he checked to Bach who also checked. Both players also checked on face down seventh street.

Campanello announced his nine-eight low, showing {9-}{8-}{5-}{2-}{a-} and Bach nodded his head while mucking his cards, awarding the pot to Campanello.

With that scoop Campanello is now over 1 million chips.

Pauli Gets Crippled then Doubles

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Bryan Campanello and Sebastian Pauli were involved in a monster pot where Campanello ended up with a {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}{a-} for a seven-six low. Pauli also had a seven-six low but his {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-Spades} was just slightly worse than Campanello's and he was crippled.

On one of the next hands, Pauli got it all in against Campanello with {4-}{5-}/{6-}{j-}{4-}{2-}/{k-} for a jack-six low against Campanello who couldn't improve on any street to eliminate him.

Small Pot City

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

The players are currently fighting over small pots, with hardly any hands reaching seventh street. Most of the action either ends of third, fourth, or fifth street with only minor amounts of chips changing hands.

We will bring updated chip counts momentarily.
