Rodawig Busts Gerasimov

Eric Rodawig
Eric Rodawig

As soon as we finished up with the aforementioned Marco Johnson hand, we saw that Eric Rodawig was taking down a substantial pot, busting Kirill Gerasimov in the process. We caught the end of the action on the turn, where Gerasimov bet all but 500 of his chips due to the limitations from the size of the pot. The board read {9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}, and Rodawig made the call. Gerasimov tossed the last 500 in when the {j-Spades} hit the river, and to the surprise of many at his table, was only able to show {3-Hearts}{a-Spades}{8-}{k-Clubs} for two pair.

Rodawig had {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for a straight, and he scored the huge knockout, upping his stack to a chip leading 253,000.
