Marin Shuts Up the Mouth

Level 11

Stud

Mike Matusow: {3-Spades}{4-Spades} / {6-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{a-Spades} / {x-}
Roberto Marin: {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} / {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} / {Q-Diamonds}
Other Player: {x-}{x-} / {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} Fold

A short-stacked Mike "The Mouth" Matusow got the last of his chips in from the get go and was up against four players. Two of them dropped out on fourth street, which left two active players on fifth. One was Roberto Marin who, along with the other player, both checked. When Marin picked up the {9-Clubs} on sixth, he bet and his opponent folded.

"Pair of nines with a flush draw?" Matusow asked. Marin then showed {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush draw a trips. "Wow, I'm drawing dead," Matusow admitted before picking up all the cards.

Marin was given the {Q-Diamonds} on seventh for good measure while Matusow simply sent his cards to the muck, wished the tabled good luck and then exited the tournament area.
