Duval Doubles

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Former chipleader Jason Duval has fallen on hard times on Day 2. He found himself all in with {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} against a player holding {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}. The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, giving Duval a double up.

Baldwin Doubles

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Eric Baldwin got it in good.
Eric Baldwin got it in good.

A player moved all in from middle position, and Eric Baldwin came over the top with his own all in from the small blind. The big blind made the call.

Baldwin: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Big blind: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Middle position: {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The flop came {7-Spades}{a-Spades}{3-Clubs}, giving "basebaldy" a commanding lead. A {5-Hearts} turn gave the short stack hope with a gutshot, but another ace came on the river for good measure.

Obrien's AA Good

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Patrick Obrien raised to 4,800 from late position, and the button called.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and Obrien elected to check-call his opponent's 7,500 bet. He again check-called after a {j-Hearts} turned, this time for 9,600. A {q-Diamonds} fell on the river, and both players checked. Obrien showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and took the pot.

Elder Running Out of Chips

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We didn't catch how it happened, but we did see the end result: Rupert Elder, with {a-Spades}{k-Spades}, doubled an opponent up who held {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}, as the board had come down {10-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Elder, who was once among the chipleaders, is now on the verge of busto with just a few big blinds.

Woods Doubles in Flip

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Action folded to James Woods on the button, who shoved for 35,400. The small blind called, and the big blind folded.

Woods: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Button: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

An {a-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop gave Woods a flush draw and two overs, and the {q-Spades} turn gave him the nuts.

Lindgren Takes One with AA

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Erica Lindgren opened for a raise under the gun, and the player on the button reraised to 14,000. Lindgren jammed, and her opponent called off.

Lindgren: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Button: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

A {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop brought some backdoor hope for Lindgren's opponent, and the {q-Diamonds} gave a river sweat. The river was a blank, however, and Lindgren's aces sent her opponent to the rail.
