Ausmus Drops Two

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Sean Jazayeri raised to 2,000 from under the gun, Jeremy Ausmus three-bet to 4,000 from the cutoff, and Ognjen Sekularac cold four-bet to 8,100 from the big blind. Only Ausmus called.

The dealer fanned {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, Sekularac led out for 7,300, and Ausmus called. Both players checked when the {2-Hearts} turned, and when the {9-Spades} completed te board, and the Serbian showed {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for a flopped set of queens. Ausmus mucked his hand.

The next hand, Jazayeri was all in preflop for 12,700 holding {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Ausmus had him at risk with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, and Jazayeri won the raise when the flop, turn, and river produced {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

He doubled to 26,000 chips, while Ausmus dropped to 166,000.
