The players are taking another 20 minute break.
A quick note that the final table of the bronze section is about to be broken, meaning that all players will either be in the gold or silver section. The board says 440 players, and we are paying 198. With three levels still to play tonight, will we get to the money before night's end?
We knew that Table 36 was littered with talent. It had Cylus Watson, Andrew Lichtenberger, Tyler Patterson, Steve Brecher, and Phil Hellmuth.
That was to say that they had Phil Hellmuth. We walked by his table and he was not there.
But the table can not relax because the player that replaced Hellmuth was none other then the dangerous Jeff Madsen. He has chips too. Over 33,000 of them. This table will be on watch as all the top players have some chips and should promise some good action.

As we near the end of the 8th level of play, some big stacks are starting to emerge. At the moment, it appears that the biggest stack is Nancy Todd, who is currently sitting on 60,000.

We only walked up to the table as the river action was happening, but here is what we saw. Thayer Rasmussen was heads up with another player on a completed board. Rasmussen's opponent had fired out 1,700, and the online pro moved all in for his last 7,075. His opponent spent about two minutes in the tank before dropping the call into the middle, and he mucked his hand when Rasmussen rolled over for aces up.
After winning that hand, Rasmussen is up to 18,000.

Tommy Vu had a decision on a board of . His opponent bet 1,600 and Vu only had 2,500 total. He also had to worry about Erick Lindgren behind him. Vu decided to put in his 2,500. Lindgren folded and his opponent called. Vu had and had to dodge the flush draw of his opponent with the .
His opponent got his flush on the turn with the and the meaningless sent Vu packing.
