Hamby's Big Draw Comes Through

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We heard the dealer announce all in at Jared Hamby's table, and noticed that it was in fact Hamby who was moving his chips into the middle. Here was the situation as we got there. The flop had come down {5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, and Hamby had moved all in after his opponent bet 4,000. Hamby had his opponent slightly outchipped, and eventually, his opponent announced call.

Hamby: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

Despite his opponent having top pair, Hamby was actually a 55% favorite according to the Pokernews odds calculator. Well that number jumped up to 100% after the dealer put the {j-Clubs} on the turn, giving Hamby the nuts. The meaningless river was the {9-Diamonds}, and after collecting that pot, Hamby is back up to 33,000.
