Big Call Extends Stout's Lead

Level 28 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #89: Stout raised to 100,000 and called after Finger three bet to 250,000. On the {J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} board Finger bet 200,000. Stout raised to 545,000. Finger folded and Stout collected the pot.

Hand #90: Finger raised to 100,000. On the {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} board, Stout checked to see a 100,000 chip bet from Finger. Stout raised to 260,000 and was called by Finger. On the {A-Clubs} turn, Stout continued with a 285,000 chip bet. Finger went into the tank, but eventually called. The river was the {Q-Spades} and Stout slowed down with a check. Finger counted out a huge bet, then put it in the pot.

It was 525,000 for Stout to call. He leaned back in his chair and let out a big sigh. After thinking over it for a bit, Stout made the call.

Finger showed {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for nine high, and Stout had made the huge river call with just {8-Hearts}{6-Spades} for third pair. It was the right call and Finger was left with a short stack and a huge deficit to make up.
