We walked over to Jennifer Harman's table, and saw that she had a ton of chips in the middle of the pot, so we went over to investigate. We saw that the board read , and that Harman was calling a bet from her opponent. The river brought the , and Harman's opponent fired out again. She called, then tossed her cards towards the dealer when her opponent showed for the ace high flush.
We have 122 players left, meaning that we need to lose five more before we are in the money. The bubble is just around the corner, and we will be sure to post as soon as the unfortunate player who finishes in 118th busts.
Ryan Paluf limped and then called when Dale Beaudoin, who is among the chip leaders in the room, raised from the cutoff. It was heads-up action to the flop, which saw Paluf check-call a bet of 1,500. When the turned, Paluf check-called a bet of 3,000 and then both players checked the river.
"Tens," Paluf said without tabling his hand. It wasn't good anyways as Beaudoin flipped over for aces and sixes. Paluf simply shook his head and sent his hand to the muck.
Meanwhile, Glenn Cozen was eliminated over at Table 443.
John Larson came into today as the chip leader, and while he has lost a bit of ground from where he started the day, he is still one of our big stacks. We just caught him chopping up a hand where him and his other opponent won some from a third player in the hand.
We got there on the turn, with the board showing . The small blind checked to Larson, who fired out, and both players called. The river brought the , and the small blind checked to Larson, who fired out again. Their other opponent called, and the small blind got out of the way. Larson revealed for fives full, and he was chopping with his opponent, who tabled for the second best low.
Dmitrii Valouev raised to 3,000 from middle position and received a call from "Detroit" Al Green in the hijack. Matthew Kursar then three-bet to 4,500 from the cutoff, both Valouev and Green called, and the flop came down .
Valouev and Green checked, and both called when Kursar bet. The action repeated itself on both the turn and river and Kursar tabled the for the nut flush and a low. Valouev and Green had the and respectively, which means they chopped the low and got quartered.
Despite losing on that pot, both Valouev and Green are both up on the day.
Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler came into today as one of our shortest stacks, but he was able to run it up a bit in the early stages of the day. However, we just saw that his seat was empty on our latest run through, and we saw on twitter that he confirmed that he busted a few tables from the money.
