Baumstein Loses Another Big One

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Scott Baumstein started the day second in chips but is one of the shorter stacks right now with just 50,000 in chips. Kristijonas Andrulis was again involved in the hand, though in a minor role this time. The Lithuanian opened the hijack to 3,400 after which Baumstein raised it up to 9,700 from the button. The player in the small blind made the call and Andrulis folded.

{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} on the flop and the small blind pushed his 28,200 stack to the middle. Baumstein had a tough decision and took his time. He took so long that someone on the table called the clock. Baumstein eventually made the call and showed his {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} first. He was up against {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and did not improve: {4-Clubs} on the turn and {5-Diamonds} on the river.
