O'Brien's Wild Ride

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

When we arrived at the table we found Dan O'Brien all in before the flop holding {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} against Cary Katz's {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. O'Brien jumped out to a huge lead when the flop gave him a set with {10-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and he filled up on the turn with the {9-Hearts}. Just for kicks, O'Brien made quads on the river with the {Q-Clubs} and was able to double up to about 100,000.

The very next hand Kristina Holst was all in against O'Brien once again before the flop but had him crushed.

Holst: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}
O'Brien: {Jh]{j-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and O'Brien was forced to ship his newly attained chips right back across the table and he was left with just about 10,000 remaining. Holst, on the other hand, is now up to 190,000.
