Danchev Doubles Into Chip Lead

Dario Minieri opened the action with a raise to 8,000 from under the gun plus one. Steven Kelly cut out a three-bet to 20,000 and action folded around to Dimitar Danchev who went into the tank for quite some time in the small blind. Eventually, he came out with a four-bet to 44,000 and action came back to Minieri.

Minieri announced a five-bet of 89,500 and Kelly got out of the way. Danchev tanked once again for about a minute before announcing that he was all in. Minieri stated a call and the two revealed their hands to be flipping for the biggest pot of the tournament thus far.

Danchev kept his lead on the flop and a shaken Minieri stood up from the table. The paired the board on the turn and Minieri needed to catch an ace or a king to win the pot. Fortunately for Danchev, the river was the and he was able to double right into the chip lead. Danchev was all in for 206,500 and now has about 447,000 in chip. Minieri has fallen to around 252,000.
