Ayoub Makes Wrong Call

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Steven Ayoub had a big decision on the river of a board {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. His opponent had bet 53,000 into a gigantic pot. After a lot of thought he called and was disappointed when his opponent flipped up {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Ayoub will have to try and rebuild as he is down to 85,000.

Dibiasi Eliminates Caramatti

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Niccolo Caramatti
Niccolo Caramatti

We came to the table with the player in the hijack facing two all ins behind his initial raise. He eventually folded and it was Niccolò Caramatti's {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} against Joseph Dibiasi's {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

Caramatti, calling for his "one time" didn't find much on the {9-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop but the {8-Spades} turn gave him an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately for him, he bricked the {j-Clubs} river and Dibriasi's kings held up. It had been a roller coaster day for Niccolò Caramatti and it ended here.

Dibiasi Wins a Big One

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Joseph Dibiasi opened to 8,000 from the button and called when David Emmons made it 22,000 from the small blind. Emmons continuation-bet 24,000 on {J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Dibiasi made the call in position. Both players checked on the {K-Hearts} on the turn and the dealer put out the {Q-Diamonds} to complete the board. Emmons checked to his opponent who cut out 33,000 and put it in the middle. Emmons made the call but he had to muck as his neighbor showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for runner runner top-two.

A Win For Sanders

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

This hand started with Adam Sanders raising to 9,500. Phil Ivey next to act made the call. The man in the 9 seat moved all in. Sanders made the call and it was back to Ivey. He tanked but he eventually mucked. When Sanders flipped up {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and his opponent had {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} Ivey did not seem happy that both players were somewhat counterfeiting each other. None the less Ivey seemed happy when the flop came {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} knowing he would have lost to Sanders.

Sanders stayed in the lead as the turn came the {8-Clubs} and the river {2-Clubs} and eliminated his opponent. Sanders is up to 270,000.

As Only Ivey Can Do

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

There were three players to the {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop. Phil Ivey, in the big blind, and a middle position player checked to the hijack who made it 13,000 to go.

It didn't take Ivey long to move all in. The middle position player quickly folded but the hijack was put to the test. After tanking for a good 3 minutes, he finally folded showing the {a-Spades}. Ivey takes another one without a showdown.

Austin Wins His Flip

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Joseph Dibiasi had opened to 8,000 from early position after which the action folded to Ryan Austin in the small blind. He pushed his stack forwards and was all in for 39,500. Dibiasi thought about it for a little bit, and then made the call.

Dibiasi showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, while Austin showd up with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}. The board stayed low and granted Austin the double up: {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} | {4-Hearts} | {3-Hearts}.

Recent WSOPC Winner Still Alive

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Luke Graham winner of the WSOPC Harrah's New Orleans Main Event is still alive in this tournament. He is looking to add more hardware to his recently added collection.

We just saw him fold a hand on the turn when he was faced with a bet of 20,000 on a board of {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. He still has 70,000 and we will be on the watch to see if he can double or if he goes broke.

A Raising War Between Shorr and Paur

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

Shannon Shorr opened to 8,000 from early position. Taylor Paur reraised to 18,500 from middle position and everyone else got out of the way. Shorr 4-bet to 39,000 and Paur bumped it up once more, this time to 100,000. Shorr finally stopped the back and forth with an all in and Paur called.

Shorr: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Paur: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Paur had Shorr dominated heading to the flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. The flop gave Shorr a back door flush draw and the {7-Diamonds} turn kept that hope alive. It was the {q-Clubs} on the river, however, that would give Shorr the winning hand with two pair and all Paur could do was sigh and shake his head.
