Schulman Hits The Rail

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The decline of Nick Schulman's stack started with he and David Diaz got all their chips in the middle for the second time in 30 minutes. Schulman was happy to see his {A-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} up against Diaz's {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}. He wasn't so happy to see a jack in the door, however when the {7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop was dealt. He received no help from the {9-Diamonds} turn and {4-Diamonds} river. Diaz doubled leaving Schulman extremely short stacked.

Three hands later, a player under the gun made it 5,000 to go and found a caller in Chris Hunichen from middle position. Schulman moved all in for his final 12,000 and the UTG made it 22,500 hoping Hunichen would fold. Just the opposite happened and Hunichen came over the top and it was the UTG player that folded.

Schulman: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Hunichen: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Hunichen's sevens held up, eliminating Schulman in the process.
