Peterson Rising, Le Falling

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The two biggest chip movers of the day have been Mickey Peterson and Tuan Le. Unfortunately for Le and his fans, his stack has been going nowhere but down all day. We just got him losing another pot to Scott Clements that puts Le as one of our short stacks.

Marcio Cid opened the action from under the gun to 22,000, and he was called by Scott Clements on the button and Le from the small blind. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}, and everyone checked through. The turn brought the {2-Diamonds}, and Le fired out 26,000. Clements was the lone caller, and when Le bet out 38,000 after the {5-Diamonds} hit the river, Clements called again and showed {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. That was good enough to beat Le, who is now down to 335,000.

On the other table, we saw Peterson and Jacob Bazeley check a heads up flop of {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. The {k-Spades} hit the turn, and Peterson fired out 25,000. Bazeley called, and the river brought the {7-Spades}. 54,000 was the bet this time from Petersen, and again, Bazeley called. Petersen rolled over {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top two, and Bazeley sent his hand to the dealer.
