A Hand and Counts

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Amos Segev bet out on a board of {4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{a-Clubs}. Ahmed Mohamed called.

The river was the {q-Diamonds}, Segev bet again, and Mohamed called. Segev showed {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}, but it was no good against Mohamed's {q-Spades}{4-Spades}.

"I never said I'm good," he chuckled, dragging in the pot.

Proulx Knocked Out

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Bracelet winner Miguel Proulx has been eliminated in 28th place. Proulx had been nursing a short stack for some time, and on his final hand, he raised under-the-gun and called a reraise from Mark Mierkalns for the rest of his chips. Proulx turned over {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, but was behind Mierkalns's {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}. The board ran out {10-}{9-}{6-}{a-}{5-}, and Mierkalns had Proulx outkicked. Mierkalns is now up to 215,000 chips and Proulx is out of the tournament.

Pair v. Pair Hurts Ogus

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Facing a raise pre-flop, Aaron Ogus 3-bet and his opponent called. The dealer spread a flop of {j-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. The initial pre-flop raiser checked, Ogus bet, and his opponent check-raised. There ensued a raising war until Ogus had his opponent all-in. Ogus turned over {10-}{10-}, but was behind his opponent's {q-}{q-}. The turn and river provided Ogus no help, and his opponent doubled up.
