Mierkalns Coming Back

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Hand #67: Malissia Zapata raised and won the pot.

Hand #68: Brent Wheeler won a three-bet pot against Zapata after he bet on a flop of {8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Hand #69: Mark Mierkalns raised out of the hijack seat, Grayson Scoggin three-bet in the cutoff, and Mierkalns called. The flop came {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Mierkalns check-called a bet, and the turn brought the {k-Diamonds}. Mierkalns check-raised, Scoggin called, and then Scoggin folded to a bet when the {2-Diamonds} completed the board.

Hand #70: Mierkalns raised from under the gun and won the hand.

Hand #71: William James raised in middle position, Mierkalns defended his big blind, and the flop came {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Mierkalns check-called a bet, both players checked when the {10-Diamonds} turned, and the river brought the {3-Diamonds}. Mierkalns led out and James called.

"You win," Mierkalns said.

James showed {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and won the pot.
