Burns Splits Bubble

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Robert Burns was forced all in with his last 100 by the ante. Everyone folded to the blinds, who saw the flop for the minimum. Both players checked a {6-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, and the {a-Clubs} turned. The small blind bet 3,600, the big blind folded, and small blind showed {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a flush. Burns was drawing dead with a {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, but since another player busted on the same hand, he was awarded half of the 90th place payout.

The player under the gun raised to 3,000 followed by a reraise to 6,500 by a middle position player. Troy Wilcoxon four bet all in for 33,400 from the hijack and was followed by another all in from the cutoff after which both the UTG and middle position players folded. Holloway Plays Hero

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Hieu Le opened to 3,000 under the gun, a middle-position player called, and Chad Holloway came along for a discount in the big blind. All three players checked through to fifth street, when the board read {4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Holloway checked a final time, Le bet 6,500, and the middle-position player folded.

Holloway shifted his sunglasses to the top of his head and placed his fingers to his temples, seemingly deep in thought. After about two minutes, he announced a call. Le mucked his cards, and Holloway's {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} was good.

Poon's Aces Cracked

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A player under the gun raised to 3,600, and Tommy Poon made it 8,000 to go in the hijack. The player UTG called, and a flop of {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} prompted him to move all in for 12,200. Poon snap-called, revealing {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. His opponent was in bad shape with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, and things looked more dire after a {5-Clubs} turn. A miracle {k-Spades} hit the river, causing Poon to rock back in his chair in amazement as he was forced to double his opponent up.
