Holloway Taking Hits

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Ellery raised to 40,000 on the button, and Chad Holloway pushed all in from the small blind. Brian Pingel called off his chips in the big blind, and Ellery folded.

Holloway: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Pingel: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The board gave Holloway no help, and Pingel doubled up.

The next hand, everyone folded to Holloway, who made it 35,000 to go on button. Allan Kwong made the call from the big blind. The flop came {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Kwong checked, Holloway bet 31,000, and Kwong called. A {5-Clubs} hit the board on the turn, and Kwong checked again. This time, Holloway fired 90,000. Undeterred, Kwong called again. The river brought a {9-Spades}, leading Kwong to check once more. Holloway fired a final bullet for 250,000. Kwong called instantly.

"King," Chad announced, rolling over {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. He was outkicked, however, as Kwong held the {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} and scooped a massive pot.
