Brian Pingel Eliminated in 4th Place ($24,811)

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 30,000 ante
Brian Pingel (Out 4th.)
Brian Pingel (Out 4th.)

Bobby Rooney raised to 40,00 on the button, and Brian Pingel came along in the big blind. The flop brought the {4-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and Pingel checked. Rooney continuation-bet 55,000, and Pingel shipped all in. Rooney snap-called, and the players showed.

Pingel: {6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Rooney: {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Rooney's bottom two pair was in the lead, but he had a lot of cards to fade. A harmless {q-Diamonds} fell on the turn, and Pingel needed a heart or a seven to complete his hand. It wasn't to be, as a {k-Spades} river ended his tournament run in fourth.

Holloway Finds a Flush

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 30,000 ante

Chad Holloway raised to 40,000 and Allan Kwong reraised to 85,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and Holloway called.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Kwong bet 90,000 and Holloway called.

Both players checked the {8-Hearts} turn.

The river was a {2-Spades} which prompted a bet of 110,000 from Kwong and a call from Holloway.

Holloway showed {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} for a flush and Kwong mucked his hand.

Kwong Lays Down Top Pair

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 30,000 ante

Allan Kwong completed from the small blind, and Bobby Rooney raised to 50,000 from the big blind. Kwong called, and the flop was {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Kwong checked, and Rooney bet 65,000. Kwong made the call, and the turn was the {10-Diamonds}. Kwong once again checked, and this time his opponent fired 125,000. Kwong rolled over the {k-Diamonds} before mucking his hand.

Kwong Charges Ahead

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 30,000 ante

In a blind vs. blind situation, Allan Kwong raised from the small blind to 50,000. Bobby Rooney reraised to 95,000 from the big blind and Kwong called.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Kwong checked and Rooney bet 100,000. Kwong moved all in and Rooney folded, after thinking for about 2 1/2 minutes. Kwong showed {k-}{j-} and which point Rooney said he also folded a J.

Updated Counts Four Handed (full)

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The players continue to spar over the blinds and antes. Every time Holloway is involved in a pot, his railbirds make their presences known by blaring out a sound effect of an eagle screaming, a reference to Holloway's infamous "bird shirt."

All four players will record their largest live cashes no matter what place they finish in.

Daniel Ellery Eliminated in 5th Place ($18,426)

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Daniel Ellery (Out 5th.)
Daniel Ellery (Out 5th.)

Daniel Ellery raised to 40,000 on the button, and Brian Pingel made the call from the big blind. The players took in a flop of {3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, and both checked. The {6-Hearts} fell on the turn. Pingel checked, Ellery bet 65,000, and Pingel moved all in. Ellery called off the rest of his chips without much thought.

Ellery: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Pingel: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Pingel had been caught semi-bluffing, but Ellery could only hang his head after the {a-Hearts} hit the river, completing Pingel's backdoor flush draw. Ellery took the beat in stride, shaking Pingel's hand and telling him "nice hand" on his way to the rail.

Ellery Triples Up

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Allan Kwong opened from the cutoff for 40,000. Bobby Rooney called from the button and Daniel Ellery moved all in for an additional 46,000 from the small blind. Both Kwong and Rooney called.

Kwong and Rooney checked down the board of {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Ellery turned up {A-Clubs}{j-Spades} which was good enough for the triple up.

Holloway Taking Hits

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Ellery raised to 40,000 on the button, and Chad Holloway pushed all in from the small blind. Brian Pingel called off his chips in the big blind, and Ellery folded.

Holloway: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Pingel: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The board gave Holloway no help, and Pingel doubled up.

The next hand, everyone folded to Holloway, who made it 35,000 to go on button. Allan Kwong made the call from the big blind. The flop came {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Kwong checked, Holloway bet 31,000, and Kwong called. A {5-Clubs} hit the board on the turn, and Kwong checked again. This time, Holloway fired 90,000. Undeterred, Kwong called again. The river brought a {9-Spades}, leading Kwong to check once more. Holloway fired a final bullet for 250,000. Kwong called instantly.

"King," Chad announced, rolling over {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. He was outkicked, however, as Kwong held the {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} and scooped a massive pot.
