Elezra Gets Picked Off

Eli Elezra was on the button when a middle position player raised it up to 650. Elezra made the call, along with the small blind, while the big blind got out of the way as the dealer got ready to fire out some cards on the felt.

Flop: {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

All three players checked to see a {10-Clubs} hit the turn. This time when it was checked to Elezra he would throw out 3,000. The small blind made the call and the other player let his hand go as a {6-Clubs} was dealt on the river.

This time Elezra looked at his opponent's stack and bet 4,050 - the exact amount that the player had behind.

"Do you have a straight?" the player asked Elezra.

"Yes," snapped back Elezra.

"I've got on too, i call," said the player as he turned over {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. It was too strong for Elezra's {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, which is also known as Elezra's whole lot of nothing.
