Forza Zarbo

Daniel Rudd
Daniel Rudd

Daniel Rudd opened in early position, Giuseppe "The Boss" Zarbo three-bet to 22,500 on his left, and the action folded back to Rudd, who called.

The flop fell {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}, and Rudd checked. Zarbo fired 22,500, and Rudd called.

Both players checked when the {8-Spades} turned, and the {4-Diamonds} completed the board. Rudd checked, Zarbo tossed out 60,000, and Rudd called.

Zarbo tabled the {k-Diamonds}, then the {a-Diamonds}, and Rudd mucked.

Holden Steady

There was about 45,000 in the middle and the board read {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{J-Clubs} when Sam Holden checked, his opponent bet 15,000, and Holden called. The turn brought the {A-Hearts}, Holden checked, and his opponent thought about 15 seconds before checking behind.

The river brought the {7-Diamonds}, and both players checked somewhat quickly. Holden turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and nodded as he saw his opponent's {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

Jejelowo Nearing Seven Figures

AJ Jejelowo
AJ Jejelowo

A.J. Jejelowo opened to 9,000 on the button and Derek Gregory three-bet to 26,000 from the big blind. Jejelowo came right back over the top to 66,000, Gregory called, and the flop fell {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Both checked to see the {9-Hearts} turn where Gregory fired 65,000. A call from Jejelowo landed the {6-Diamonds} river. Gregory checked it to Jejelowo who promptly slid out about 340,000, putting Gregory to the test for his remaining 180,000-ish.

After about two minutes in the tank, Gregory gave it up.

Breaking Order Kills ESPN's Party

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The ESPN film crew had been filming Table 6 for quite some time. The table featured Maria Ho, Matt Berkey and a short-stacked Christina Lindley.

It finally came time for the table to break and the players were moved to Amazon.

Esfandiari Eliminates Another

A player on the button raised to 12,500, and Antonio Esfandiari reraised to 26,000 from the big blind. His opponent responded with an all-in shove for 124,000, and Esfandiari called.

Esfandiari showed {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} and was hoping his hand would hold versus his opponent's {A-Spades}{8-Spades}. The community cards came {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and another player hits the rail as the field size shrinks toward 800 players.

Esfandiari has been up and down of late, but now sits with nearly a half million chips.

Guetti Doubles Through Ferrell

Anthony Guetti and Michael Ferrell have been going back and forth in big pots against each other for the last hour, and Guetti just doubled up to take this round of the bout.

We caught up with the action on a flop of {4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Guetti checked to Ferrell, who fired out 16,000. Liv Boeree was next to act, and she made the call. Guetti was next to act, and he moved all in for 129,000. Ferrell tanked for about 90 seconds, before calling, and Boeree simply shrugged her shoulders before folding what she later said was tens.

Guetti: {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Ferrell: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

Guetti had the lead with top two pair, but Ferrell was drawing very live. The {k-Diamonds} on the turn didn't help much, and Ferrell was looking for a king, seven, six, three, or two to secure the hand. The river brought none of those, as the {j-Hearts} peeled off.

Guetti doubled up to 315,000, while Ferrell dropped to 735,000.

Juanda Just Fine

John Juanda
John Juanda

John Juanda has had an up-and-down Day 3, but appears to have evened out here as the final level plays out after having chipped up to an above average stack.

Just now the five-time bracelet winner was involved in a hand in which a player limped in from under the gun, then Juanda raised to 13,500 behind him. It folded around, Juanda's opponent called, and the flop came {8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Juanda's opponent checked, he bet 21,500, and the UTG player called. Both players then checked after the turn brought the {Q-Diamonds}.

The river was the {2-Diamonds}. Juanda's opponent checked once more, and Juanda bet 35,000, getting one more call. Juanda turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for tens and fours, and his opponent mucked.
