Jacks Versus Queens

Niels van Alphen moved all in under the gun for around 550,000 and cleared the field all the way to Jonathan Schoder in the small blind. He thought long and hard before calling off for 340,000.

Showdown

Van Alphen{Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Schoder{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

Van Alphen held the dominating hand and Schoder, along with his supporters on the rail, were dead silent. Well, that is until the flop came down {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. When that happened, Schoder let out a celebratory cheer while his crowd shouted, "Now hold."

Hold it did as the {6-Hearts} appeared on the turn followed by the {8-Clubs} on the river. With that, Schoder doubled to 725,000 while van Alphen was left with just 235,000.
