Triple For Mymko

Derek Mymko started the day with just 25,000 in chips and would be needing a double or triple as soon as possible if he wanted to make the money. Well, that's exactly what has just happened.

We arrived at Table 377, with Mymko all in preflop against William Katona and the big-stacked Sean Rice. Mymko watched on as Katona led for 26,000 on the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop. Rice got out of the way and the at-risk Mymko and Katona would turn their hands over.

Mymko: {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Katona: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The {q-Diamonds} on the turn was exactly what Mymko was looking for and with the {k-Diamonds} on the river changing nothing, Mymko raked in the triple. At this point, Rice said, "I had a king!"

"Well, thanks!" Mymko said to Katona who saved his life by betting his opponent out of the hand.
