Orange Happenings

A walk through of the Orange Section gathered brought some updated chip counts and a handful of interesting hands around the area.

Scott Clements has had a quiet day so far, but recently we saw him getting involved in a hand. The flop read {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and the first player to act placed a bet of 1,500. The next player raised, and Clements who was last to act three-bet. The initial raiser folded and next player moved put Clements all in for around 7,000 more. Clements quickly made the call and cards were turned over.

Clements: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Opponent: {9-}{9-}

Clements had plenty of outs, but he was still behind and only had two cards to get there. The {J-Hearts} on the turn put the advantage in Clements favor and the {k-Hearts} on the river secured the hand. Clements is now right around starting stack and is primed to make his comeback.
