World Series of Poker Aims to Please

Level 1 : 50/75, 0 ante

We are about eight minutes in to Event 6 and players are still arriving to take their seats. One player who arrived on time was Shaun Deeb. Deeb, who just got off a monster run during the PokerStars SCOOP, was using this early tournament time to talk with tournament director Jack Effel. The two were discussing format issues in future tournaments. Deeb felt strongly that the structure could be changed in a way that could be more beneficial for players.

After a few minutes of discussion Effel informed Deeb, that if he were to send him an email with a logical argument explaining his position and how it can improve the overall play, Effel would consider the change.

If you ever glimpse at Jack Effel's twitter account you are normally bombarded with Effel responding to player's questions. It's nice to see that the WSOP and Effel are trying to make this the best experience possible for the players.
