Cheong Takes the Challenge

Joseph Cheong started a recent hand out by making it 5,000 from the hijack. Ryan Leng in the small blind raised it to 14,000, and Hans Winzeler in the big blind called all in for 4,900. Action was back on Cheong who called as well.

A {4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} flop came down and both Leng and Cheong checked. The {10-Diamonds} turn brought a 12,000 bet from Leng, but Cheong raised it to 30,000. Leng flashed the {A-Spades} as he folded. Cheong won the side pot between the two players, but there was still the matter of Winzeler at hand.

Cheong: {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Winzeler: {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Cheong held top two pair, while Winzeler had a diamond flush draw. A river {8-Clubs} came up short for Winzeler and Cheong was awarded the pot.
