Pinks Have More Fun

Guillaume Darcourt - such a cheeky boy
Guillaume Darcourt - such a cheeky boy

Earlier we brought you news of a great looking table containing the pink haired French maestro Guillaume Darcourt. Darcourt's style is somewhat unorthodox but it has netted him over $1 million in tournament earnings, including a WPT title and a 35th place finish in last years WSOP Main Event. Here is Darcourt showing how the unorthodox way of playing can be quite fun.

Kyle Julius opened the fun house with a bet of 325 from mid-position, Darcourt made the call one seat to his left, Kevin Stammen called on the button and the small blind three-bet to 1,350. Julius and Stammen folded but Darcourt decided he wanted to see the flop.

The flop was {Q-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {5-Diamonds} and Darcourt called a 1,150 c-bet. The turn card brought another five {5-Spades} and the original three-bettor made a very quick 2,300 bet. Darcourt nonchalantly flicked in the call leaving himself 8,500 behind. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Darcourts opponent moved all-in and the Frenchman made the quick call. It was {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} for the three-bettor and {K-Clubs} {5-Clubs} for Darcourt.

This left the three-bettor with around 1,800 in chips and they were handed to Kyle Julius in the next hand. Julius picking up {8-Spades} {8-Hearts} to send the angry looking player home holding {K-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. As the player left we looked at Darcourt and he gave us the cheekiest of cheeky smiles.
