Boeree Doubles Through Jaffe

A player opened the betting to 1,200 and Liv Boeree called from the cutoff. Jonathan Jaffe made it 6,200 from the big blind and the original raiser folded. Boeree called and the flop fell {5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

Jaffe took a moment before continuing out for 4,400. Boeree called. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Jaffe turned up the pressure with a bet of 8,200. Boeree studied long and hard before calling once again.

The river was the {K-Diamonds}. Jaffe sat motionless for over a minute before moving in all of his large denomination chips, a bet that put Liv Boeree all in. Boeree took a deep breath and called, showing {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for a rivered pair of kings. As it turns out Boeree was ahead the whole way as Jaffe showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

Boeree is now sitting on a stack of 80,000.
