Eric Mizrachi raised to 3,000 from the button and got a single caller in the big blind. The flop came and Mizrachi's opponent checked, and when he fired a single yellow (1,000) chip, his opponent tossed away his cards.
Mizrachi has been building his stack steadily all day, and as we near the end of Level 10 he sits with an above average stack.

After losing all but 4,000 of her stack in a hand in which her -suited failed to improve versus an opponent's pocket tens, Vanessa Selbst lost the rest of her stack shortly thereafter to be eliminated here in Level 10.
Meanwhile, Rahul Byrraju remains in his seat, now with a different opponent on his left. Byrraju continues to hover right around the 100,000-chip mark.

A player in early position raised to 2,400, and Jeff Madsen called from one seat over. The flop came , and after studying Madsen's remaining stack — about 16,000 — his opponent bet 4,800, and Madsen let his hand go.
On the next hand, the same two were battling again, building a pot of about 6,000 by the turn, at which point the board read . Madsen's opponent checked, and Madsen fired 2,800, getting a fold and the pot this time.

A player in middle position raised the minimum to 1,600, then it folded to the button who reraised all in for 4,600 total. It folded to Tim Duckworth in the big blind who checked his cards, then announced he was reraising all in as well, for 12,300 total.
The original raiser studied both of his opponents' bets for a while, then finally let his hand go. Duckworth tabled while the player on the button turned over .
The dealer burned a card and spread the flop — . Quads for Duckworth, and his opponent was already out of his seat and walking when the meaningless turn and were dealt.

Having reached the end of Level 9, the remaining players are now taking their last 20-minute break of the night. Two more one-hour levels to go.
Players at Table 1 in the Gold section are currently quizzing Vanessa Selbst about her win yesterday in Event 52: $2,500 10-Game Mix Six-Handed. Selbst secured her second WSOP bracelet with the victory, her first having come in 2008 in a $1,500 pot-limit Omaha event.
"Badugi and deuce I'd been playing about a day," answered Selbst when asked about her experience with the 10 games required by the event. "But the rest I've played for years."
Meanwhile, sitting quietly to Selbst's right is Rahul Byrraju who had just been moved to Table 1. He's not saying much, but he's gotten a lot of attention, anyway, thanks to the multiple racks of chips he's brought over. Byrraju has accumulated more than 100,000 — the first in the room we've seen thus far to do so.
No doubt Selbst will be attempting to use those years of NLHE experience — plus the more recent one of going the distance to win another WSOP bracelet last night — to do what she can to move some of Byrraju's chips her way.
