Bassel Moussa Eliminated in 9th Place ($49,105)

Bassel Moussa - 9th place
Bassel Moussa - 9th place

Tomas Trampota started off a recent hand by raising it up to 60,000 from middle position. Eliyahu Levy was next up and he made the call. Action folded over to Bassel Moussa who moved all in for 175,000. Action folded back to Thomas Trampota who took about 30 seconds before moving all in himself. Levy took about 4 seconds before making the call for all of his chips.

Levy: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Moussa: {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Trampota: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The board came out {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Levy came out on top with two pair, aces and queens. Moussa was eliminated, and Trampota was basically crippled down to 150,000.

Eastgate's Pressure

Peter Eastgate raised it up to 65,000 from the button. Tomas Trampota in the small blind completed and made the call, and Eliyahu Levy did the same.

The dealer spread a {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop prompting a check from Trampota and a bet of 80,000 from Levy. Eastgate quickly made the call, while Trampota deposited his cards in the muck.

The {4-Clubs} on the turn brought a check from Levy, and a bet of 170,000 from Eastgate. Levy made the call fairly quickly and both players were allowed to see a river.

The {8-Spades} landed on the river and again Levy checked. Eastgate then bet out 360,000. Levy took a few moments and folded.

Taylor Doubles Through Vogel

Donald Vogel makes the call
Donald Vogel makes the call

Andrew Taylor raised it up to 60,000 on the button, and Donald Vogel defended his big blind. The dealer laid out a flop of {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, and Vogel check called a bet of 80,000. When the {a-Clubs} hit the turn, Vogel led out for 125,000, and it was on Taylor. He thought for about 30 seconds before moving all in for 310,000 on top. Now it was Vogel's turn to go in the tank, and he cut out the chips for the call, then assessed the damage it would give his stack. Eventually, he slid the chips into the middle to make the call.

Vogel: {9-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Taylor: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Vogel would need a nine or a three on the river to get the elimination, but he wouldn't get it, as the {5-Spades} came down. After the hand, Vogel is down to 1.1 million, while Taylor doubles up to 950,000.

Four-Bet Takes It

Andrew Taylor started the hand off by raising it up to 60,000 from middle position. Donald Vogel then found the action on himself, and three-bet to 160,000. David Borg was up next and four-bet to 510,000.

The rest of the table folded back around to Taylor who released. It was then Vogel's turn and he took his time deciding what he wanted to do. In the end he folded, and showed {J-}{j-}.

Moussa Getting Short

Action started with Bassel Moussa, who raised it up to 65,000 in middle position. Donald Vogel defended his big blind, and the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Moussa put out a continuation bet of 80,000, and it was on Vogel. He assembled a raise of 180,000, and tossed it in. Moussa thought for just a few moments before releasing his hand, and tapping the table, giving the pot to Vogel.

After that pot, Moussa is sitting on just 315,000, or just over 10 big blinds.

Big Stack Picks On Little Stack

Peter Eastgate started out this recent hand by raising it up to 50,000 from the hijack. Tomas Junek in the small blind, and David Borg in the big blind were the only two willing to come along for the ride.

The flop came {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts} and all players checked.

The {2-Hearts} on the turn brough a bet of 80,000 from Junek and a raise from Borg for 195,000. Eastgate folded and action was back to Junek who moved all in, a bet that would put the shorter stacked Borg all in. Borg drained a couple of minutes off the clock deciding his action, and in the end opted to fold.
