Esfandiari Makes Banjout Disappear

Frederic Banjout
Frederic Banjout

Frederic Banjout was all in preflop for his last four million or so with the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Although his pair was big, Antonio Esfandiari held a bigger one with the {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} and Esfandiari stayed in front. The turn was the {K-Clubs} and Banjout was down to one card needing a ten. The river completed the board with the {2-Hearts} and that was it. Esfandiari eliminated Banjout in 14th place and moved to just about 30 million in chips.
