Gruissem Cracks Hellmuth's Aces

Phil Hellmuth raised under the gun to 330,000 and Philipp Gruissem defended his big blind.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn was the {7-Spades} and Hellmuth bet 325,000. Gruissem raised it up to 850,000 and Hellmuth snap-called.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and Gruissem fired out 1,700,000. Hellmuth was not happy, but after tanking for a while he made the call showing {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. Gruissem had {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and his flush took down this big pot! Hellmuth was steaming again as his pocket aces got cracked while Gruissem jumps up on the leader board.
