Preflop Present for Trickett

Sam Trickett and his birthday cake
Sam Trickett and his birthday cake

Sam Trickett celebrated his birthday yesterday by playing Day 1 of this event. Today he's back to win more chips, and on the break he got a beautiful birthday cake delivered to him. He also managed to win a big pot by putting in a cold four-bet preflop.

Dan Shak raised under the gun to 185,000 and Brandon Steven made the call from the hijack. Ben Lamb was in the cutoff and he put in a three-bet to 600,000. Sam Trickett was in the big blind and he took his time before four-betting to 1,325,000.

Shak tanked for a solid minute before folding after which Steven mucked his cards right away. Lamb enquired how much Trickett had left behind, but he needed only ten seconds to fold his hand.

Trickett added over a million to his stack and is looking very healthy as we keep losing players left and right.
