Cherishing The Jack

We just saw Cherish Andrews scoop a monster pot and here's how it went down. A player in early position raised to 1,250. Action folded to the button who made it 2,800. Then, Andrews in the small blind made it 7,300 to go.

Action folded back to the original raiser who tanked for at least 30 seconds before moving all in for over 50,000 chips. The player on the button snap folded his cards and the action was on to Andrews.

Andrews sat and thought intently about her decision. "Are you trying to bluff me? or not?" she muttered outloud.

After nearly 2 minutes in the tank, Andrews put in the call for her whole stack of nearly 26,000 chips. Her opponent turned up {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, and dejectedly Andrews turned up an inferior {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

"At least she was tanking with a legitimate hand," someone at the table said. "What did you have?" he asked the player on the button.

"{A-}{Q-}," the button said.

The flop was safe for the first player, as it fell {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

The turn was safe as well when it fell {2-Spades}.

But, the river was not so safe when it fell the {j-Spades}.

The player shot daggers at Andrews as he grumpily stacked his chips and shipped over half of them over to Andrews.
