Hellmuth Receives Back-to-Back Doubles

Phil Hellmuth started the day with 79,000 but got off to a horrendous start, being knocked all the way down to just under 6,000. Just when it seemed the "Poker Brat" would meet an untimely demise, he caught some cards to double in back-to-back hands.

In the first, Hellmuth got all in preflop with {A-Hearts}{9-Spades} and was up against the {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} of an unknown opponent. The board ran out a clean {5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and Hellmuth double to around 14,000.

In the very next hand, Hellmuth got it all in preflop with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} against the {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} of Marco Bognanni. The board ran out clean again for Hellmuth, falling {J-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, and he put himself back in contention with a stack of 32,000.
