Vedes Doubles Through Ellwood

We just can't seem to get down to the final two tables over here, as there have been four or five double ups within the last few minutes. The latest benefactor was Tommy Vedes, who got his money in preflop with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Unfortunately for Vedes, he was dominated by the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} of Jack Ellwood. Vedes was well behind before the flop, but he was well out in front after, when it came {7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Ellwood would need to catch a queen or runner runner to take the pot back, but the {2-Diamonds} on the turn and the {7-Hearts} on the river provided no help.

Vedes is back up to 160,000, while Ellwood drops to 100,000.
