Turn and River Save Mizzi

When we arrived at Sorel Mizzi's table, he was all-in and getting ready to leave with his {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} on the felt. However, the {4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board had other ideas, giving him the runner-runner jacks for trips to rake in the hand. His opponent had mucked his cards in disgust and we only caught glimpse of a {q-}, but its safe to say Mizzi must have got lucky to double up.

Raymer Still Doing Fine

When we arrived at Greg Raymer's table, he was the first player to act and was flicking out a 25 chip. three players then obliged with a call, before a fourth player raised it up to 550. Raymer then instantly re-raised to 1,525 and with the 3 limpers out of the way, the other player called.

On the {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop, Raymer tumbled out a bet of 1,700. His opponent went into the tank and eventually folded as Raymer raked in the pot.

No One Wants a Seat Card to Lucky Table 13

Level 6

We just passed by Table 13 in the Gold Section and there was an empty seat. We could only feel bad for whoever gets the seat card for Table 13.

Once seated the player will have wizards Jamie Rosen and Mickey Petersen on their right. Then to their left they will have Will Failla and Matt Berkey.

Timoshenko Played for an Hour

Yevgeniy Timoshenko was one of the players that signed up to play at the last minute. He got an hour's worth of play in before he played his last hand.

When we got to the table Chris Bjorin had moved all in and Timoshenko was put to a decision. He called and tabled {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} an Bjorin held {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}.

The board ran {3-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {3-Spades} {J-Clubs} {3-Hearts} and Timoshenko was eliminated.

Quads Will Do

Grant Levy
Grant Levy

When we arrived at Grant Levy's table, he was all in for his last 2,500 and was up against two opponents - one who had him covered and one who had a shorter stack. Here is how the cards looked.

Levy: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Big Stack: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Short Stack: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}

When the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop hit the felt, the short stack player simply left the table, while Levy's other opponent watched on as a meaningless turn and river hit the felt.
