Looking in on the Ladies
Today saw Jackie Glazier nearly become the second woman to win a WSOP bracelet this summer, falling just one step shy with a runner-up finish in Event 41: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em, won by Greg Ostrander. Glazier was hoping to join Allyn Jaffrey Shulman as a bracelet winner after her triumph in Event 29: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship.
In our event just 80 players remain, with three women among them. Maya Antonius has been nursing a short stack for most of the afternoon, and presently sits with 33,000. Kathy Saraf has 44,500 at present, just a bit below the stack with which she started the day. And Anke Berner has done well through day's four levels, having started the day with just 7,600 and built up to 95,500 as we return for Level 16.
