2012 World Series of Poker
After losing a couple of tough back-to-back hands in which both pocket kings and pocket aces failed to hold up for him, Daniel Negreanu found his stack slip below average before finally disappearing altogether.
Negreanu provides the final update on his status, as well as that of the remaining field:
RealKidPoker Daniel Negreanu @dnchips about 120 players left and I'm no longer one of them. I played well and hoped for a different result. C'est la vie.

Ali Eslami has been hovering at just more than the starting stack all day, but may be making a late push to increase his stack.
He put in a raise from the hijack and was called by Justin Bonomo in the big blind. The flop fell and Bonomo checked it to Eslami who bet. Bonomo called, landing the on the turn which both players checked. The hit the river and Bonomo bet.
Eslami called and upon seeing Bonomo table for jacks and sixes, he tabled for aces and jacks to win the pot.

Terrence Chan — he of the whopping seven cashes already at this summer's WSOP — has been steadily chipping up all day. Just now he was involved in a hand which resulted in another addition to his stack.
After a player in the cutoff raised, Chan three-bet from the small blind, forcing a fold from his neighbor and fellow Vancouverite Dan Idema, yet another player in our field who possesses a limit hold'em bracelet (2011, $10,000 LHE).
Chan's opponent called the reraise, then called again when Chan bet the flop. Chan bet once more following the turn. This time his opponent raised and Chan called. Both then checked the river, and when Chan tabled for queens, his opponent mucked.
Chan is up around 37,000 now.

A player on the button raised, then Chad Brown three-bet from the small blind. Brown's fellow Team PokerStars Pro Andre Akkari called in the big blind, and the original raiser called as well.
The flop came monotone — — and Brown bet. Akkari let his hand go, but Brown's other opponent raised. Brown paused a moment, then called. The turn then brought the , and Brown led with a bet which his opponent just called this time. The river was the , and again it went bet-call.
Brown tabled for queens, and his opponent mucked. Brown is up to about 32,000 now. Meanwhile Akkari, who had been atop the counts earlier in the day, now sits with about 24,000.
Maria Ho raised under the gun and Tommy Vedes re-raised on the button. Action folded back to Ho who called, landing a flop.
Ho check-called a bet from Vedes to see the turn which both players checked. Both checked the river as well and Ho tabled . Her pair of ducks were good, upping her stack to about 44,000.
