Turn No Good for Veldhuis

When we arrived at Lex Veldhuis' table, there was already a flop showing {k-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Veldhuis was involved in the hand against two opponents. The action was checked to Veldhuis and he promptly bet 450. Only one player would make the call, while the other sent his cards into the muck.

The dealer flipped over a {q-Spades} on the turn and this time Veldhuis checked behind his opponent. The {6-Clubs} river would see Veldhuis' opponent lead this time, making it 1,100 to see his cards. Veldhuis looked slightly perplexed, eventually making the call. The player tabled his {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, enough for a turned straight to see Veldhuis' cards into the muck. Despite losing that hand, Veldhuis has had a good start to the day, sitting with well over the starting stack.

For those that don't know, Veldhuis is not only known as one of the best poker player's in the world, he is also known for his exploits fighting Betrand Grospellier in the MMA ring. Truly entertaining stuff.
