A Couple of Hands

Here is how a couple of small hands recently played out on Randy Lew's table in the Brasilia Room and Tony Dunst's table in the Pavilion Room.

  • On Lew's table, an early position player opened it up with a raise. The player on his direct left made the call and it was on Randy Lew on the button. It didn't take long for "nanonoko" to raise it up to 300 from the button and it was back on the other two players. The first player made the call and the next one shoved all-in for 1,075. Lew thought hard before opting to let it go. After that hand, Lew was left with just 1,200 in chips.
  • Over on his table, Dunst opened up the action to 75 from middle position. Only the big blind would make the call as a {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop was dealt. Dunst flicked out a 100-denominatin chip on the flop and his opponent quickly called. The {7-Diamonds} turn would see Dunst again bet, this time 225. His opponent thought long and hard before deciding to fold his cards and send the small pot to Dunst.
