Baker Takes The Lead

For the first time since we got down to eight players there's someone else in the lead. Greg Mueller just gave up his chip lead on the final hand of 2-7 Triple Draw. David Baker's has never been this close to winning that gold bracelet he's been trying to win for so many years!

2-7 Triple Draw

From the button Mueller raised it up to 160,000 and Baker immediately three-bet to 240,000 from the big blind. Mueller called.

On the first draw Baker took one card and Mueller needed three. Before looking at his card Baker bet 80,000 and Mueller made the call.

Baker needed one card once again on the second draw, and after he saw that Mueller needed two, he put in a 160,000 chip bet. Mueller took some time but eventually made the call.

For the third time in a row Baker took one card, and they seemed to be even now since Mueller also needed just one. Baker took a good look at his cards and put in another 160,000 chip bet. Mueller looked at his new card, but didn't find what he was looking for. He folded and that means Baker is now our new chip leader.
