Stud Cooler Part 1: Baker Makes Quads on Hawrilenko

Stud

We just saw two massive Seven Card Stud pots on opposite tables, and the first one was between Matt Hawrilenko and David Baker.

David Baker{x-}{x-} / {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Spades} / {x-}
Matt Hawrilenko{x-}{x-} / {Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{A-Clubs} / {x-}

We caught the action on fourth street when Baker fired out 16,000 and Hawrilenko raised it up to 32,000. Baker wasted no time and put in another raise making it 48,000. Hawrilenko called.

Every street the board got more exciting and all the players at the table followed the action closely. Baker fired out 16,000 on fifth street and Hawrilenko called. On sixth street Baker's board showed trips and he bet again, Hawrilenko called.

On seventh street Baker kept beting and Hawrilenko called. Baker turned over {10-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for quad tens, and Hawrilenko was disgusted. He showed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for a full house queens over aces.

"I've got queens full, and I never get to raise," Hawrilenko sighed while Scott Seiver shook his head in amazement.

Baker exhaled pretty loud and said, "Well that's a good hand to run good in," as he raked in this massive pot. Hawrilenko still has a big stack, but Baker is now up there as well.
